Longtemps associé aux intérieurs de montagne, le mobilier de pin gagne les intérieurs citadins depuis la reconnaissance de certains grands designers. Ainsi, le mobilier de Charlotte Perriand donne à redécouvrir une forme d’art populaire grâce à son choix de renouveler des formes traditionnelles.
D’une manière assez comparable, c’est ce que fait le designer suédois Axel Einar Hjorth qui développe toute une collection de mobilier en pin d’allure moderne tout en ayant quelques caractères néoclassiques. Ici, le pin est travaillé en massif, le travail d’assemblage est fondamental puisque tout est entièrement réalisé selon le principe de tenon mortaise et cheville.
La particularité du dessin est son caractère très moelleux grâce a des formes arrondies, ergonomiques et confortables.

Thus, Charlotte Perriand's furniture gives the opportunity to rediscover a popular art form thanks to her choice to renew traditional forms. In a rather comparable way, this is what the Swedish designer Axel Einar Hjorth is doing. He is developing a whole collection of pine furniture with a modern allure while having a few neoclassical characters. Here, the pine is worked in massive, the assembly work is fundamental since everything is entirely carried out according to the principle of mortise and tenon mortise and dowel.
The particularity of the design is its very soft character thanks to its rounded, ergonomic and comfortable shapes.
